We are officially on the road today after brief stops at Lake Texoma and Tahlequah, OK to visit family.  Granddad Don is doing pretty well.  We had a nice long walk around the lake, the waters are still terribly low.  I was completely victorious at dominoes.  Tahlequah is the home of my great uncle Ken and cousin Jennifer.  Not to be confused with my sister Jennifer.  Or my other sister Jennifer for that matter.  Cousin Jen has a cute house with a stellar view, perfect for a few beers and patio conversation.  I was completely decimated at beer bong;  I don't see a professional future.  We're going to have a nice breakfast soon (maybe the last warm one haha!) and then we'll be heading off to Palo Duro Canyon just outside of Amarillo.  How many people take off for a road trip from Texas and the first stop is Texas?

Sorry I don't have any adventures to recount yet, really.  Just been a nice time, only about 6 total hours in the car so far.  The road has been very welcoming and I can't help but feel I'm where I'm supposed to be right now.   If you have read The Alchemist then you will probably already understand the title for this little adventure.  Destiny has a way of taking us away from where we thought we might be.  I fear leaving my family and the world I have known for so long, but I fear more not living a grand life or, worse, resenting the life I have lived.  So I go.

I hope you all are well and know I am thinking about you.  I'll try to update at least once a week but it will depend upon WI-FI and location.  HI MOM!!!!!

Only a few pictures so far but more to come!

 And a train.
